County Election Returns
on the Internet

The Secretary of State is California chief elections officer and is responsible for conducting statewide elections. However, each county also has an elections officer, usually a County Clerk or Registrar of Voters, that oversees county-wide elections. Some county elections officials have decided to post their elections results on the Internet in much the same way as the Secretary of State. We have included links to those county sites of which we are aware.

Selecting any of the links below will take you from the official 1996 California General Election Web Site to visit other sites on the Internet. The California Secretary of State's Office has no association whatsoever with the content of any material you might see. Such information may not have been checked for accuracy by any official agency.
