Explanation

This web site contains the entire contents of the 1998 Voter Information Guide and Ballot Pamphlet in HTML (web page) format. It is designed to be viewed online, although most pages will appear acceptable when printed.

You may like to have an electronic copy of the original document for yourself. The 1998 California Voter Information Guide and Ballot Pamphlet is available here for downloading in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format. If you download it to your computer, it will be stored on your local hard disk for later use. You will be able to view it and print selected pages at your leisure without reconnecting to this web site. When printed, the document should appear identical to the printed version mailed to all California registered voters.

Instructions

In order to view or print the document, you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader which is available for free from Adobe's web site. If you already have the Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, please ensure that it is at least version 3.0. You may not be able to view and print the Voter Information Guide properly with older versions of the software.

With most web browsers, a new browser window will open containing the Acrobat Reader page at the Adobe web site. This will allow you to continue browsing this web site while you are downloading the software. When the download is complete, follow the installation instructions provided by Adobe.

Please be aware that the Voter Information Guide is a rather large file - over one megabyte. On a slow modem connection, it may take anywhere from fifteen to sixty minutes to download depending on your Internet connection and current network conditions.
