I'm the candidate for Jobs, Homes, Higher Education and Small Business.

20,000,000 jobs can be created over 12 months by federal legislation declaring "The First 3 Are Free" — up to 3 employees designated by any employer would be treated as independent contractors, eliminating payroll compliance burdens that stop small businesses from creating jobs (i.e., insurance, withholding, deposit, reporting, audit requirements). These would be high-paying jobs running the technical side of small business (e.g., blog marketing, website sales).

I'm a Harvard Law graduate, and a practicing attorney, representing homeowners in foreclosure cases and small businesses in commercial litigation. I ran for NYS Attorney General in 2010 and came in 3rd (1% of vote). I created the paralegal field in 1972 and know how to create jobs.

Federal legislation is needed to preemptively deregulate higher and vocational education to enable small businesses to set up thousands of unlicensed live local 1-year low-cost ($2,000) training programs to train unemployeds, underemployeds, handicappeds, retirees and disadvantaged youths as "Assistant to Owner of Small Business", averaging potentially $1,500/week. Small business needs millions of technically-trained persons. Deregulate small business and we’ll end unemployment in America.

If homeowners can't pay the mortgage as presently written, they should be given the first option to remain in their property with a loan modification based on present property value and interest rate, if they could pay the reduced amount. This exceeds what banks receive from foreclosure auction sales and would cure the defaults more quickly.
