I am Fred Karger and I am an Independent Republican from Laguna Beach.

There is only one Californian running for President and only one candidate who worked for President Reagan.

I have been a businessman who met a payroll for 27 years. I am an outsider with a solid jobs plan and a visionary with new ideas to help all Americans prosper. Visit www.FredKarger.com

I want to help turn this country around just like President Reagan did 32 years ago by bringing back the American Spirit of optimism and getting along.

We need a President who can unify this country and move our nation forward.

An Independent Voice in the GOP

The Republican Party is in freeeeeee fall. Many party leaders want to "purify" the Republican Party. Instead, I want to broaden its base and welcome diversity and younger people in to grow the GOP.

I worked on nine Republican Presidential campaigns and dozens of others in California and around the country. I worked for Presidents Gerald Ford, George H. W. Bush and Ronald Reagan. I managed George "Duke" Deukmejian's campaigns for California Attorney General and Governor. I have the experience needed to understand how government works and how to fix it.

As Ronald Reagan said, "While I take inspiration from the past, like most Americans, I live for the future."

I want to bring new Independent Leadership and 21st Century thought to this campaign and to this nation.

America is at a crossroads. We can choose to continue the same failed policies, with government encroaching on more parts of our lives, with entrenched and unaccountable bureaucracy, with too much dependency, with weakness abroad. Or we can choose to rebuild the America we love—the America of freedom and independence, of work and opportunity, and of strength in the world. To choose renewal will require extraordinary leadership. Timid alternatives and the path of least resistance are unacceptable. I believe this historic moment demands a bold conservative with bold solutions. It will require upending the old order in Washington that has lost the trust of the American people and protects the current dysfunction. Before I led the Republican Revolution in 1994, winning the first reelected Republican House in more than 40 years, few thought it was possible, even in our own party. We did it by offering Americans a real choice and asking them to help us force change. We reformed welfare, lifting millions of Americans from poverty. We balanced the budget for four straight years—the first time since the 1920s. We passed the biggest capital gains tax cut in history, helping create 11 million jobs. And we did it all while paying down $400 billion from the national debt. It can be done. But in 2012, it will take a big change election to get bold solutions. This November, we must offer the American people a genuine choice. With your help, we can rebuild the America we love.

I am running for president to get America back to work, protect our national security, and ensure our country remains the leader of the free world.

I've spent most of my life in the private sector, where I helped launch or rebuild more than 100 companies, including household names such as Staples, Bright Horizons, and The Sports Authority.

In 1999, the Winter Olympics were on the verge of collapse amid corruption allegations. I was asked to take over. I revamped the organization's leadership, trimmed the budget, and restored public confidence. In the end, we staged one of the most successful games of all time.

As Governor of Massachusetts, I cut taxes 19 times while balancing the budget four years in a row. I cut red tape for small businesses, signed into law job-creating incentives, and fought to bring new businesses to the state. By the end of my term, the state has amassed a $2 billion rainy-day fund.

As president, I'll repeal the national healthcare law, get rid of job-killing regulations, open markets for American exports, and unlock American’s energy resources. I’ll reduce taxes and bring an end to runaway spending and borrowing in Washington. I'll make the federal government simpler, smaller, and smarter. I'll reverse the defense cuts of the past three years, rebuild our military, and ensure that this century will be another American Century. Together we can create an Opportunity Society where hard work, education, and risk-taking allow people to achieve their dreams.
