SAFE AT HOMEVictims of domestic violence and stalking, and reproductive health care providers (employees—doctors, nurses, therapists, support staff, volunteers, and patients), don't have to be afraid to vote! If you qualify to enroll in the SAFE AT HOME Confidential Address Program, your voter registration information can be kept strictly confidential from campaigns, pollsters, the media, and other parties. By completing a confidential voter registration affidavit at the time of enrollment, for the first time, or by re-registering at the Registrar of Voters/County Clerks offices, SAFE AT HOME participants automatically receive "absent voter status" so they can vote by mail. Absent voter privileges are revoked once the participant's four-year term expires or is cancelled. The SAFE AT HOME Confidential Address Program provides a no-cost mail forwarding service for victims of domestic violence and stalking, and reproductive health care providers (employees—doctors, nurses, therapists, support staff, volunteers, and patients) designed to keep their addresses confidential—and their assailant from finding them.
