Voter Registration

If you have already registered to vote, you do not need to re-register unless you change your name, home address, mailing address, or if you want to change or select a political party.

You can register to vote online at or call the Secretary of State's toll-free Voter Hotline at (800) 345-VOTE (8683) to get a form mailed to you.

Voter registration forms can be found at most post offices, libraries, city and county government offices, county elections offices, and the California Secretary of State's Office.

Conditional Voter Registration

During the period of 14 days prior to Election Day and including Election Day, you can go to the office of your county elections official, a vote center, or polling place to conditionally register to vote and vote. To learn more visit
