Let's first help Americans — especially Veterans, the elderly, and the chronically physically and mentally ill. We must deal with anarchists hiding behind the First Amendment who seek to destroy our institutions, advocating killing policeman, and burning our cities. Citizens must be able to defend themselves! God Bless the NRA. Washington extravagance must end. No more Imperial Presidency, half-billion-dollar jets and helicopters, an entourage flown around in two military Globemaster Jets filled with weapons and vehicles, and the rest of the multi-billions now wasted that I will reallocate to rebuilding infrastructure, and creating jobs. Advanced technology has made us beholden to electronic gadgetry, especially the Internet, compromising public safety, endangering children and women. Any laws must line up under both the Bible and the Constitution.

All existing laws, and rules, that do not meet the Bible and Constitutional standard will be removed by Executive Order, and proper legal rules.

James Hedges began life as an Iowa farm boy, born at Iowa City in 1938. He attended public schools, earned a BA in Applied Music from The State University of Iowa in 1960, and spent 20 years playing tuba in The United States Marine Band (Washington, DC).

Hedges also holds an MA in Geography (University of Maryland, 1972), was Editor of The National Speleological Society Bulletin for 11 years, and has published widely on the science of caves.

Since retirement, Hedges has devoted his life to community service. He has been President of his local Friends of the Library, a 4-H leader, his county's first recycling co-ordinator, letterpress-printing craftsman at a living-history museum, and a member of several community bands.

Hedges is an advocate of small government, balanced budgets, an America-first foreign policy, environmental protection, and family-centered domestic programs.

Re-institute the WPA (Works Progress Administration) and rebuild America's infrastructure. End joblessness, homelessness and insure all Americans have health and dental care within the first year of my presidency. Secure our borders within 30 days. Within the first 90 days we will have immigration reform. Within the first term of office we will have a balanced budget, secure prison reform, a new tax code with a 17% flat tax with generous deductions, and college or trade school education for all Americans on the state level provided by unions, trade schools, or state universities. A two-year service commitment if the American cannot pay for this education themselves. If they can't afford to pay Americans will serve with the Vista volunteers, Peace Corps, the public health system, or the military. America will convert to a hydrogen economy, actively mine our landfills and cleaned up our waterway to a pristine environment. Increase tariffs on foreign goods to insure domestic product advantage at home.

I believe that the United States is the greatest country since the beginning of humanity. Although we do have our faults no one has gone further to protect the rights of others than we have in the United States. Now we are at the precipice of the future, to determine whether or not humanity as a species continues. Join me and let's set our sights to glorious future then go there together.
